Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
β’ Own and manage the full financial accounting function right up to balance sheet level
β’ Process and manage all foreign creditor accounts and foreign exchange transactions
β’ Prepare detailed monthly management accounts and financial reports for senior leadership
β’ Play a key role in building the group’s annual budget and long-term financial forecasts
β’ Monitor and control production costs, project costs, and capital investment spend
β’ Handle all VAT returns, VAT reconciliations, and annual and provisional income tax submissions
β’ Develop and maintain strong internal financial controls across the business
β’ Operate the company’s ERP system to ensure financial data integrity and reporting accuracy
β’ Oversee inventory control and identify cost variances before they become problems
β’ Support the broader finance team and contribute to high-level financial strategy decisions
Do You Qualify? Here Are the Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
β’ A completed BComm degree in Accounting or Finance β this is non-negotiable
Experience Required:
β’ 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in a full financial function within a manufacturing or engineering company
β’ Proven track record managing foreign creditors and foreign exchange transactions
β’ Solid experience in production costing and inventory control
β’ Demonstrated ability to prepare VAT returns, VAT recons, and tax submissions
Technical Skills:
β’ Proficiency in ERP systems β SAP, QMuzik, or Syspro experience is highly preferred
β’ Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are a must
Personal Attributes:
β’ Assertive, proactive, and highly organised
β’ Able to work independently and manage a full financial function with minimal supervision
β’ Comfortable working under pressure and consistently meeting tight deadlines
